The Little Book Of Big Lies - Tina Lifford
We are really enjoying the audiobook by Tina Lifford - "The Little Book Of Big Lies". I created an original quote post of one of the many Personal Development gems shared. The [] around the word any indicate the difference from Tina's verbatim quote that said "your". In the context of her book she is sharing the value of standing before one's small self & having an empowering chat with her/him about backing oneself. Without that context it seemed a bit pointed to have a picture quote saying "I am bigger than your small ideas of me. I expect freedom. I will stand here for as long as it takes".
At Dream Big New Zealand we are very big on Personal Responsibility. The importance of keeping our sights on ourselves with the view of improving daily.
Many years ago now I was inspired by another quote on Pinterest that said something to the effect of "Instead of pouring your energy into complaining about what you aren't happy with - use that energy on solutions / building something better / as a guide to grow oneself". I was very inspired by that. It was the beginning of my journey on being far less interested in judging others. It became a rather lack-lustre way of boosting oneself - ugh!
We'd love to hear from you in the comments what this quote brings up for you -
