Work From Home Productivity Tips

Alister from Dream Big New Zealand

Some good points made in this article good.net.nz... on working from home efficiently. I must admit I have only recently set up a comfortable work station where I sit in a proper chair with my laptop at a desk (it's actually a hall table that no longer graces the entryway - function won over form). The "desk" isn't large enough for a plant but the large window overlooks my beloved garden.

Prior to this I was sitting on the floor with my laptop at the coffee table. Serendipity saw it make a great wee spot for zoom meetings with fantastic lighting and a visually pleasing background however it was horrible for other work tasks. I was forever having to change positions as limbs and butt cheeks went numb followed by pins and needles as the circulation returned only for other bits to go numb until I moved again. I made it work for a few months.

I'm not sure work attire is necessary for me. I love the comfort of sportswear, I start the day with a beach walk and my best productive work time is after the evening meal. I love to sit at my laptop and get a bunch of stuff done during this "down" time.
