For those of you that are either living in a granny flat, or are the family who built/bought a granny flat to add to your property for an elder family member, we'd like to hear about why a granny flat was right for you. What was the process of getting one and learning to live together like? I must admit I have only recently set up a comfortable work station where I sit in a proper chair with my laptop at a desk (it's actually a hall table that no longer graces the entryway - function won over form). The "desk" isn't large enough for a plant but the large window overlooks my beloved garden.
Prior to this I was sitting on the floor with my laptop at the coffee table. Serendipity saw it make a great wee spot for zoom meetings with fantastic lighting and a visually pleasing background however it was horrible for other work tasks. I was forever having to change positions as limbs and butt cheeks went numb followed by pins and needles as the circulation returned only for other bits to go numb until I moved again. I made it work for a few months.
I'm not sure work attire is necessary for me. I love the comfort of sportswear, I start the day with a beach walk and my best productive work time is after the evening meal. I love to sit at my laptop and get a bunch of stuff done during this "down" time.

On Tuesday night, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced there were four new Covid-19 cases in the community.
Auckland moved into level 3 at midday on Wednesday, and the rest of the country into level 2.
Kiwis outside of Auckland can still continue to go to work and school, with physical distancing, and are advised to wear masks in public.
Businesses can open to the public if they are following public health guidance, which includes physical distancing and record keeping.
In terms of gatherings, New Zealanders must not travel to events with more than 100 people. This includes weddings, birthdays, funerals and tangihanga.
The Government advises all Kiwis to practise good hygiene and stay home if sick.

We'd be keen to hear about your discoveries on your recent travels around New Zealand. Were there any small towns, activities or attractions that surprised you, for better or for worse? Did you come across any lesser-know spots you think more Kiwis should check out? Which small towns do you think deserve more visitors than they get? Please remember your comment may be included in an article unless you state that you don't want it to be. Cheers.

Those sites, Warrington and Ocean View, recorded a reduction of 27 per cent and 50 per cent respectively, despite an increase in visitor numbers. Complaints about those sites also dropped by more than half, with infringement notices also dropping.
The Dunedin City Council is now seeking feedback on whether the site should be made permanent. What do you think? Read more here and tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
