Measles epidemic spreads to Dunedin and Wanaka as southern epidemic continues
Dunedin and Wanaka residents have been confirmed with measles for the first time as the number of cases in Queenstown continues to rise.
In the past 48 hours, 13 Queenstown residents, two Wanaka residents and one Dunedin resident associated with Otago University were diagnosed with the disease.
The total number of cases in the Southern District Health Board area is now 50, of which 47 involve Queenstown residents.
