Passed away peacefully in Greymouth with loving family by his side, on June 19, 2023, aged 91. Loved father of Mark Laird, loved grandad of Samantha, Deanna, and Mikayla, and great-grandad of Olivia, dearly loved son of the late John and Isobel, a loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Esma and Russell Lobb, Gordon and Phyllis, and Brian (Blue) and Colleen, a deeply loved and respected uncle of John Lobb, Alistair Lobb, Julie Apu, Leigh Brookland, Wayne Harper, Andrea Harper, Lance Harper, Brendon Rae, and Rachel Rae, a loved great-uncle, cousin and a friend of many. Passed away suddenly on Saturday 17th June 2023, at Titahi Bay. He was the loved son of William & Mata Parker (dec), and brother to Ngawai Richardson (Whitby), Rawinia (dec) and Ted Parker (Stokes Valley). Nik was a favourite uncle, cousin, nephew & friend to many. His Tangi will take place at the Putiki Marae in Whanganui.
McCORMICK, Marjory Ann (nee Jones)
Died peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023; in her 88th year. Dearly beloved wife of Desmond*, loved mother and mother-in-law of Gregory, Bede, Claire and John* Mulholland, Stephen and Anna, and Monica and Mike Sherman, treasured Grandmother of Lachlan, and Aimee McCormick, Daniel, and Matthew Sherman. The family would like to thank the Access carers who helped Marjory stay in her own home for so long, and staff of the Totara Unit of St Andrew’s Home for their loving care.
