On April 24, 2023, peacefully at Ashburton Hospital, aged 87 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Murray. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Stuart and Carolyn, Joanne Howard, Kerry and the late Richard France, Ross, Ronda and Phil Chamberlain, and Neroli and Blair Sanson. Loving Nana of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved sister and sister-in-law. Messages to the Walkham family, PO Box 472 Ashburton 7740. A service to celebrate Jill’s life will be held at St David’s Union Church, Allens Road, Ashburton, on Friday, April 28, commencing at 11.00am, followed by private cremation at the Ashburton Crematorium.

Passed away on 25th April, 2023, in her 84th year. Cherished soulmate of the late Trevor, amazing loving mother to Bruce, Craig, Fiona and Alastair. Loved and respected mother-in-law of Jo and Stacey. Adored Nana Jill of Sam, Kate, Hunter, Riley and Maia. Loved sister of Ann (deceased), Clare (deceased) and Mary. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Jill’s life will be held at St Patrick’s Church, Queen Street, Masterton, on Friday, 28th April at 11.00am. Followed by private cremation. The Rosary will be recited in the Church on Thursday, 27th April at 5.00pm.

Peacefully after a courageous 3 year battle, surrounded family and friends at Hospice South Canterbury on Monday, April 24, 2023. Aged 75. Dearly loved wife and soulmate of Michael. Peacefully at home after a short illness, on April 24, 2023, aged 52 years. Dearly loved father of Holly and Gemma, a much loved son of Dick and Janet, and an awesome brother of Kerry.

WAKEFIELD, Timothy David

27.08.1946 — 23.04.2023
Tim passed away quickly but peacefully, in ICU at Timaru Hospital, aged 76 years. He is a greatly loved dad, grandfather and best friend, and is so deeply missed by his family; Kim, Jamie, Madison, Alex, and Lewis Sugrue (Timaru); Penny, Steve, Ben, and Cassie Compton (Timaru); Andy, Juliana, and Gabriel Wakefield (Adelaide); and Jo Wakefield (Timaru). Tim was the eldest son of Harry and Natalie Wakefield (both dec, from Picton), and dearly loved brother of Judy Frazer (Picton), Andrew Wakefield (dec) and Jeremy Wakefield (Nelson). He was a much loved brother-in-law, and uncle of his nieces and nephews. Dad was a proud Perano, an avid fisherman, a teacher, a drinker of flat whites in a tulip cup with one sugar, and an enthusiastic reader of books while taking an afternoon ‘zizz’ on the couch. Dad enjoyed living out at Rangitata Huts, and will be missed by his friend Kathy and his fishing mates.

A funeral service for Tim will be held at Sacred Heart Basilica, Craigie Avenue, Timaru, on Friday, April 28, at 1.00pm, thereafter private cremation. Tim was passionate about his work with the McKinnon’s Creek Salmon Hatchery, donations to this organisation would be appreciated and may be left at the service. At age 64, passed away peacefully at dawn on April 22nd, 2023, with his wife and three children by his side. He was a loving husband to Susanne (Sue), an amazing dad to Nicholas, Gena and Stacey. Father-in-law to Rachel, Phil Wild and John Cameron. Poppa to Zoe and Robin.
