Loved son of the late Violet and James Foster, and brother of the late Barbara Sturgess (England). Respected uncle of Adrian, Ian and Clive Sturgess (England). An avid glider pilot, instructor and inspector. A gentleman and a gentle man. Fondly remembered by friends and neighbours; ex-students and colleagues from Christchurch Polytech; and Gliding Clubs and Lions Clubs across the country. Thanks to the staff at Carter Court for their excellent care over the last 3 years, and the Wellington Welfare Guardianship Trust for their care. A service for Brian will be held in the Richmond Chapel, Richmond Rd, Carterton on Friday, 23rd June 2023, at 2.00pm. Brian’s service will be livestreamed via his tribute page.
