BRIGHOUSE, Edwin (Russell)

On Sunday, April 23, 2023, peacefully at Nelson Hospital, aged 96 years. Loved husband of the late Deseree Brighouse (nee Morrison), adored father to Daryl, Paul (deceased), Deborah and Michael ,and their partners. Loved and loving grandfather and great-grandfather whose love will be missed deeply. In honour of our father and his wish for privacy at this time, an immediate family-only service then private cremation will take place this week. A full celebration of Russ and Des’s life will be held at a later date with friends and family to acknowledge the love we had for both of them – and them for us. The family would like to acknowledge those angels otherwise known as caregivers at Summerset In The Sun Care Centre who made his life so much better each and every day. Also the amazing transitioning/hospice team at Nelson Hospital who managed those final days with such compassion, tender care, empathy and professionalism.
