Death

Died peacefully, aged 90 years, at Karina Rest Home on 20 April 2023. Loving husband of Ruth Funke, father of Carol, Leona, Mark and Rachel. Father-in-law to Robert, Richard, Carolyn and Wayne. Opa to Caleb, Sarah, Ben, Tyla, Nathan, Olly, Hayley and Nathan. As great-Opa to Levi, Zoe, Louie, Judah and Amos. A service will be held at the Terracehaven Chapel, 697 Main Street, Palmerston North, on Wednesday, 26 April 2023 at 10.00am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice. We wish to acknowledge Karina Lifecare staff for the loving care to Frits, Hospice nursing staff, and Dr Skinner for her compassionate care. Frits’s heart was always for his family and friends, and those who did not know Jesus. He is now at peace with his Lord and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
