STANTON, Douglas James

Born February 8, 1931 and passed away on March 22, 2023. We the loving family of Doug wish to announce his passing at Tasman Dementia Care Centre on March 22, 2023, aged 92. A proud and passionate West Coaster, and never one to complain. Doug fought strongly and bravely to his last breath – his big kind heart kept on beating. Doug is survived by his loving wife Nola of almost 70 years, father and father-in-law of Roz and John, Jill and Steven and Wendy. Grandchildren, Kate and James, Carly and Gaby and Nick. Great-grandad Dougie of Jade, Zach and Ziggy. We thank everyone of our friends and family for all your kindness and thoughtfulness during this past year. Enormous appreciation and a huge thanks to all the staff at Tasman Dementia Care Centre for their devoted care. A private service was held for Doug last Friday.
