Water Restrictions to take effect from Wednesday 26 February
Level 2 Water Restrictions come in to force on Wednesday, 26 February. Please be aware that this restriction level includes a ban on sprinklers and irrigation systems. We are asking Whangārei households to reduce their water use by 20 per cent.
Voluntary measures have reduced water use by around 8 per cent over the last few weeks. It's a great start, but we still need more people to save more water NOW in order to make our reserves last.
Please share this message with friends and family - everyone is going to need to do their bit.
