NEW ‘MONDAY CAFE’ GROUP TO MEET IN CUST ON APRIL 24TH

Karen from Cust

A new group called ‘Monday Cafe’ started recently for people in the Cust area to meet others informally for company and friendship. The aim is to encourage and involve people who live on their own, are new to the area or home during the day. Organisers Judy Smith and Sandra saw a need in the community and initiated the group, which meets monthly on the 4th Monday of the month at the St-James-on-the-Cust church hall from 10am to 11.30am.
Monday Cafe welcomes people of all ages to come along and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some homemade baking at no charge. There is a play area in the hall and children are welcome. The guest speaker for April 24th is Bernard Kingsbury, local Cust historian.  For further information phone Sandra on 03 310 2074, or come to the next meeting on April 24th.
