Vote Day Today for the Local Body Christchurch Elections
Today is the Day. Today is Vote Day if you have not voted yet.
You can either go to the Hornby Library today between 10am and 1pm to hand in your voting papers or put in one of the following NZ Post Posting Boxes in the Hornby Ward - Springs Road Dairy (Corner Springs and Amyes Road), Springs Road Shops, 310 Waterloo Road outside the Waterloo Road Dairy, Hei Hei Pharmacy, Templeton Pharmacy and the Sockburn and Hornby Post Shops have posting boxes outside them
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
