Seeking your vote: for Waimairi Community Board
I am seeking re-election as your Community Board member of our Waimairi Ward. I am a LOCAL - I live and pay rates in our ward, and have done so for over 17 years.
Over the past weeks, I have walked the streets of our neighbourhood and met many of you. If I could not meet you, you would have found my election flyer near your front door (or in your letter-box), together with the flyers of my team-mates Sam MacDonald and Pereen Singh.
Having completed my first term, I can say I have certainly enjoyed the role and was able to make a positive contribution too. In particular, I immensely enjoyed the people-interaction aspect which this role entails, as well as being able to put rate-payers money to good use – for community groups as well as individuals; and for small and big projects which make the city a better place to live for everyone.
I promise working with the same passion, integrity, transparency and enthusiasm that I have demonstrated in the past years, and to continue to make a positive difference in the lives of people around me.
### PLEASE VOTE FOR ME. ###

This Wednesday, we are having another Neighbourly Q&A session. This time with John Bracewell from Crewcut.
John Bracewell, former Black Caps coach turned Franchisee Development Manager and currently the face of Crewcut’s #Movember campaign, knows a thing or two about keeping the grass looking sharp—whether it’s on a cricket pitch or in your backyard!
As a seasoned Crewcut franchisee, John is excited to answer your lawn and gardening questions. After years of perfecting the greens on the field, he's ready to share tips on how to knock your garden out of the park. Let's just say he’s as passionate about lush lawns as he is about a good game of cricket!

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
