Community Support
Woolston Development Project is able to provide support to families via phone or email contact during the Lockdown period. Gaylene Waugh, our Family Support Worker, may be contacted directly on 02040356964. Any other enquiries regarding our services/programmes may be directed to Bev Adams at w.dp@xtra.co.nz. We are particularly interested in suggestions regarding the supports that may be needed after Lockdown ends as we transition back to 'normality'. Have these weeks of being at home made you more aware that your circle of friends is too small, that you do not have enough interests/hobbies, that your network of support hasn't worked for whatever reason? We are interested in hearing your experiences and your thoughts of what could be provided to strengthen our community.
Poll: Is it rude to talk on the phone on a bus?
Buses can be a relaxing way to get home if you have a seat and enough space. However, it can be off-putting when someone is taking a phone call next to you.
Do you think it's inconsiderate for people to have lengthy phone calls on a bus? Vote in the poll, and add your comments below.
