NZ Transport Agency scam
Just received about the 10th copy of this so thought I would post it here as an example of the lengths crooks go to.
The bulk of the content is in the picture. Things of note -
I have recently renewed my drivers license and the subject of the email was a reminder to renew it. Red flags - it is already renewed so should not be prompting reminders, it was from 'reminder@transprego.co.nz' which is also nothing to do with NZTA although it does contain various characters like 'rego', checking the 'Renew now' button shows it taking you to 'tlwja-cmpzourl.maillist-manage.com' which happens to be somewhere in Europe, but the biggest red flag is that this reminder is for a registration renewal NOT a licence renewal.
It raises the question of where did the sender find the info that I was renewing my licence. Has the NZTA been compromised in some way ?

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
