Meet the Candidate Evening - Papanui Ward
Are you interested to know the Candidates in the upcoming City Council Elections? Come along to a "Meet the Candidate" evening hosted by the Redwood Business & Residents Group. Candidates for the Council and the Community Board have been invited to speak for 3 minutes and then answer questions from the floor. If you are curious to know those who wants to represent our community then please come along.
Where: Christchurch Function Centre (Redwood Hotel), 340 Main North Road, Redwood.
When: Tuesday 17th September at 7pm
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
