Supposedly 'Declining' tree removal on Moana Street
Hi all. I haven't posted on here but I'm interested to know why Treetech are removing the big tree on Moana Street. I have tried calling the representative for this project 'Tony Armstrong' several times this morning and it just goes to his answerphone.
The tree looks in no way declining any more than any of the other beautiful trees on our street. It seems to me Treetech have become bigger and bigger as a company over the last 5 years and cruise around looking for any reason to justify keeping their ever-growing staff numbers employed. If there is a legit reason Id love to hear it.
In summer the trees on Moana street are so important and its a special thing being able to come home on a 25 degree day and pull into a cool tree-lined street. I'm sure it's half the reason most of us live here.
Also once one goes it puts the writing on the wall for the rest.
I've watched them pull down other supposedly 'declining' trees all along the banks of the Heathcote and the environment is changed instantly not quite forever but for a very long time.
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
