Canterbury HERB Society meeting TONIGHT Memorial Ave

Summer herbs, candles and enfleurage...
7pm Thursday January 26th 2023
Public Meeting reminder. Avice Hill Craft Centre - 395 Memorial Ave

We will be discussing using summer herbs and herb flowers, and hope to be extracting scent essential oils using the ancient method of enfleurage, and making scented beeswax candles.
PLEASE BRING A HANDFUL OF FRESH SCENTED ROSE PETALS FOR ENFLEURAGE, AND SOME ESSENTIAL OIL FOR THE CANDLE.
Pine, rosemary, orange, cinnamon, clove, or eucalyptus are suggested.
Please also bring something edible and herbal to share,

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
