Open "Y-Art Studio" and Gallery - Watercolours by Therese

Therese from Burnside

A wonderful, rare opportunity!

I am a local watercolour artist who is passionate about New Zealand birds and landscapes. I paint in my studio at home, which is located at the end of a picturesque cottage garden path.

From tomorrow (Tues 24) until Sunday (29 Jan), I will be opening my art studio to the public for the first time. A small gallery is set up in my studio to display some of the work that I do.

You are most welcome to come along and see some of my work, and find out what has inspired me to paint.

Viewing:- Tues 24 to Sun 29 January, 10am – 3pm.
Location: - 60 Greers Road (close to Memorial Ave), Burnside, Christchurch. Parking on the street.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
