FLU TRACKING
There is an initiative being run in Australia and New Zealand to track flue. The website is info@flutracking.net after signing up you are sent a weekly email asking a couple of questions that take about 10 seconds to answer. The purpose of this initiative is to have as many participants as possible so they are able to monitor frequent information of those who do or don't have symptoms, it also asks you initially if you have been vaccinated for flu this year which provides further useful information. The site is updated weekly to show where in New Zealand the symptoms are becoming a concern.
The reason this knowledge is so important for the country at this moment in time is that the health system doesn't want to be unnecessarily clogged up with people with flu so as to leave them free to deal with those that contract the Corona19 virus.
Please follow this up as this is for the good of all.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
