Are you interested in Sustainable living and incorporating some of these practices into your everyday life? Papanui High School is offering a practical sustainable living skills course in Term 1 which will give you practical skills you can use at home. The course will cover food, growing vegetables, power savings, water, zero waste, lower carbon travel and eco building. This course is being taught by Vanessa Lukes and will be held at Papanui High School on a Wednesday night beginning 13 February 7-9 pm for 7 weeks at a cost of $60. The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
