Papanui High School Furniture Polishing and Restoration Course

Do you have a piece of furniture that you would love to restore? Then come along to Papanui High School and join our Furniture Restoration and Polishing Course.
In this class students will learn the basics of stripping, sanding and repolishing their own items of furniture. This is a hands on course and students need to bring an item of furniture eg chair, coffee table, nest of tables or tea wagon to work on. Fee includes the cost of materials. The class is being held on Saturday 3 & Sunday 4 November 9 am - 4 pm at Papanui High School at a cost of $203. In 2022 there were 33 fatal crashes, 245 serious injury crashes, and 590 minor injury crashes where pedestrians were involved.

In these crashes, 34 people walking died, 240 people walking were seriously injured, and 595 people walking suffered minor injuries.
Most injuries occur in the young (5 - 29yrs), then 50+yrs, with the highest number of child pedestrians injured between 2pm and 4pm, followed by 4pm to 6pm and 8am to 10am.
