Previous:
I recently wrote to the Papanui Ward/Christchurch City Council requesting they consider putting in one more Judder Bar on Farnswood Place entrance off Tuckers Road because of the very near misses we have had on this corner on several occasions caused by speeding cars. (Copy attached).
I was advised by the Board this subject would be on their agenda for their meeting of 30 June 2017. I have now received a reply from The Christchurch City Council stating the request has been declined. (Copy also attached). I have replied back to the Christchurch City Council by email (copy attached)
if you are a resident of Tuckers Road, Farnswood Place, Scarlet Lane, Thornwood Place or Thicket Close, or who have children attending Northcote Primary School, could be please indicate your preference so we can take this back to the Christchurch City Council Many thanks for taking the time to read this. Let's protect our children.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
