At Enliven we're looking for kind, personable volunteers to help transport senior day programme clients to and from their homes. This collection and return service covers the whole of Christchurch and often involves two runs. *No driving is involved.*
Minivan assistants help the driver by guiding clients on and off the minibus and attending to seatbelts.
When: Weekdays. Volunteers usually commit to assisting twice a month in the morning and afternoon. Morning run: 8:30am–10:00am. Afternoon run: 2:45pm–4:00pm.
Where: The day programmes are located in Riccarton and Linwood
For how long: 4 months minimum, please.
Skills required: A good level of fitness, good communication skills, and sensitivity to the needs of older people with age-related disabilities.

Enliven day programmes give older people the opportunity to connect with others while maintaining interests and skills, and sharing activities and experiences in the community. They're lively affairs—fun, and enjoyable for all involved!
We are looking for kind, personable volunteers to help our qualified staff by serving meals and morning/afternoon teas, setting up and clearing away activities, and supporting and encouraging our senior clients as they participate in the programme.
- Time commitment: 2 hours each week or fortnight. Days negotiable. A minimum term of 4 months, please.
- Location: Linwood and Riccarton
- Times available: Weekdays
- Skills Required: Good communication skills. Sensitivity to the needs of older people, especially those with memory loss.
