Christchurch salt water hot pools 'on track' for March opening

Nicole Mathewson Reporter from The Press

Christchurch's seaside salt water hot pools are on track to open in late March.

Development Christchurch Limited says work at the New Brighton site is "on track" to finish soon, but an exact opening date was not finalised.

The $11.2 million complex, called He Puna Taimoana, is being built on Marine Pde next to the beachfront children's playground.

It will have five outdoor pools ranging in temperature from about 28 degrees Celsius to 40C, a sauna and steam room, cafe, changing facilities and seating areas.
