Is the Ōtākaro-Avon River Corridor a special place for you? This year, Regenerate Christchurch is planning the future of the river corridor’s red zone from Barbadoes Street to Bexley. What do you know about the land and the river that we need to think about? We would like people and communities to share their wisdom, knowledge and experiences of the river corridor to help shape this planning. Can you help? Share online by 18 March. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
