Help yourself to prevent a fall
Falling over is not a natural part of aging - it is preventable!
SAYGO classes show you easy exercises to improve balance, strength and mobility, and thus help you not to fall over.
A weekly community based Falls Prevention class starts in Redcliffs, 10am Monday 16 January at the Port Hills Uniting Parish Church, Augusta Street - opp the supermarket. $2 donation per class please.
Regular attendance at Steady As You Go (SAYGO) classes is known to help people (especially those over 65) to reduce their likelihood of falling over. Classes are fun, easy, at your pace. Exercises are seated and standing, with a little walking.
Redcliffs Class - just come along any Monday from 16 January onwards, at 10am, no need to book.
There are 13 other SAYGO classes running around Christchurch - see www.ageconcerncan.org.nz... or call Age Concern Canterbury 366 0903 or Christine Toner 0274339598 for more information.
