Central community board voting opens this week

Postal voting opens this week for a community board seat representing the Christchurch City Council’s Central ward.

Voting papers for the Linwood-Central-Heathcote community board by-election are due to land in local letterboxes from Thursday, with voting closing at noon on Friday, 16 October.

The candidates are:

• Clive Antony (Independent Citizens)
• Faimeh Burke (Independent)
• Celeste Donovan (Independent)
• Sunita Gautam (Labour)
• Wayne Hawker (Independent)
• Paul Lonsdale (Independent)
• John Stringer (Independent)

Handy gardener wanted with large chainsaw

Just needing a small job topping small hedges chain sawing. I’ve done most of the hedges however not the power saw that can cut through the branches I can’t.
