Solar zero solar panels

Sylvia from Kaiapoi

Hello neighbours we were approached a couple of weeks ago by a gentleman trying to make an appointment for installation of solar panels he had no idea with him except a monogram on a jacket that raised my heckles a little bit. A week later as arranged, someone came from the solar zero company to show us the advantages of this system. Again no ID no paperwork left with us !!! so I was a little unsure however we went through the meeting watching a information on his computer then a lady rang up asking me if we would like to set a date. Not happy not happy not happy I told her so far, even though she claims that Company has been working for 36 years or something similar, no business cards? No ID? Not very professional in my opinion. They claimed to send information via email for days has passed and no email!.... has anybody else signed up??? RU absolutely happy with the fact that you are paying a huge amount over 20+ years for lease of the panels you never ever own. We’ve decided to back out based on information so far we have received. Any input from you guys out there? Thanks

What workplace change would you like to see most?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

This coming Monday is Labour Day in New Zealand. This public holiday marks when the eight-hour workday and 48-hour workweek became law in 1899. The idea started with Samuel Parnell, a carpenter in Wellington, who in 1840 refused to work more than eight hours a day. Since skilled workers were in short supply, his employer had to agree.

As more skilled workers arrived, employers tried to change working conditions, but Parnell and others kept pushing for better rights. In 1890, Parnell led a Labour Day parade of 1,500 people to promote the eight-hour day. He passed away shortly after, and nine years later, Labour Day became an official public holiday.

Do you feel that we have reached the ideal in working environments yet? What rights are you passionate about relating to employment? Share your thoughts!
