Hi neighbours! We're back to normal this week, gathering at 10.30am. Mike Robb will be starting a new series on 'Enemies of the Heart'. This series is about breaking free from the destructive power of guilt, anger, greed and jealousy. As always, the coffee will be hot at 10.15am! Hope you can join us!
This past week, Eugene Peterson died at the age of 85yrs. You may know Eugene Peterson as the translator of the Message Bible. Only God knows the time a person is born & the time that a person will die, the certainty that we live with is that every day is a gift from God. I watched a fascinating interview between Bono (U2) & Eugene Peterson on the honesty of the Psalms & the challenge to live our lives in transparency before God. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
