Heavy snow warnings issued for South Island's east coast
The coldest blast of winter so far is starting to move on to the south of the country ahead of expected disruption from heavy snow on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
MetService has issued heavy snow warnings for much of Canterbury and Marlborough, and parts of Central Otago, from Tuesday evening until Wednesday afternoon, advising that snow will fall as low as 200 metres causing problems for travellers and farmers.
Below 200m, sleet and heavy rain may also be a problem for Christchurch and parts of Banks Peninsula on Wednesday morning.
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
