Rainy Day activities to do with the kids.

Allen Gunn from Allen Gunn- Harcourts

Its bucketing down out there! Here are a few ideas of things to do indoors this weekend.

Create an indoor obstacle course
Hop along the hallway, snake under the table, do a forward roll onto cushions, pick up some dried pasta with your teeth and move it into the next bowl. Use your imagination to come up with a challenging indoor course that helps the kids to burn off some energy.

Have a tea-party/indoor picnic
Spread out the picnic blanket/kids table and set out little plates with snacks and drinks and napkins and enjoy an indoor picnic. Cuddly toys also make useful guests!

Make a den
Use sheets and blankets draped over chairs and make an indoor den. Your children can make their own signs for the entrance and gather cushions, books and snacks to take into the den.

Make some puppets
Use old socks and arts and crafts to make puppets and put on a show.
