In addition to many listed events, a new thing is the invitation regarding Edible & Sustainable Garden awards, below (refer page 4).

Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Edible and Sustainable Garden Awards (new) From backyards to pots and windowsills, this partnership between the Waimāero Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board and the Canterbury Horticultural Society is an opportunity to celebrate all types of food gardens. If you're proud of your peas or delighted with your dill, we want to hear from you! Entry is free and open to individuals, groups, organisations, schools, early learning centres and businesses. Your garden must be located in the Waimāero Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board area. Applications will open soon and entries close on 10 January 2023.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
