Hi Neighbours, The La Vida Youth Trust has been operating in the wider Riccarton community since 2002, and we would love to get the word out there about who we are and the work that we do. We are proud of the connections we are making with the young people in our area, through the 24-7 Youth Workers, After school programme and Breakfast Club. We are excited about creating and building further opportunities to support young people and their families and helping build stronger communities. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
