Birthright toy drive
More than 2,000 toys and books for children aged 0-17 years are distributed each year by Birthright Canterbury to its client families. This is thanks to the generous donations from our supporters and from the public.
This year, we would like to ask for your support to donate age appropriate toys, puzzles, games and books for children aged 10-17 years old (boys and girls). Donations (in kind or money) can be dropped off at our office at 301 Tuam Street, Christchurch. For more information, please ring 022 043 5006 or email manager@birthrightchch.org.nz.
Help us put smiles on children's faces.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
