Charity auction for perinatal anxiety and depression closing within the hour

Kat from Governors Bay

Our octogenarian Dad is still a working painter, sculptor, and all-round visual artist. He made this piece during a 1988 sculptors’ symposium organized by well known sculptor Llew Summers. The completed sculptures were displayed around Canterbury and beyond. Dad’s piece was installed on a business property in Mandeville Street here in Christchurch. Out the back and somewhat out of view, it has sat almost forgotten since.

This artwork would look much better enhancing a park or garden. As it depicts a mother sheltering her child our decision is that all proceeds will go to nationwide charity Perinatal Depression and Anxiety Aotearoa or PADA NZ.

Free delivery within Christchurch but you must arrange your own delivery if outside Christchurch. Dimensions are 2m high, 1200mm wide, 1m deep.

Artist Instagram just search for don_mcara and look his work up on Google Images.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
