FREE STUFF on NEIGHBOURLY
The Free Stuff category is the perfect place to list your unwanted items for neighbours in need, or discover what you can take off your neighbours' hands.
** To advertise free items, simply post a message in the usual way and select Free Stuff as the category.
** In respect for your fellow members, please be clear about the quality of any items you are giving away. If you are not genuinely in need of free items, or have recently claimed one, please allow some time before claiming other items so that others can benefit from this category too.
** If you're on the hunt for a number of free items, consider listing these all in a post so that your neighbours can make any offers.
** Please note that it is not good Neighbourly practice to onsell items you have claimed without expressly discussing this with the person passing them on.
** When claiming free items, you might like to consider paying it forward and keeping the community spirit alive by listing something free yourself!
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
