Young Enterprise Scheme - Support high school students continue their studies through COVID19
The Young Enterprise Scheme is an entrepreneurial program currently used to deliver business studies in 22 Canterbury High Schools.
At YES Canterbury we are conscious that life now is so different for so many people and businesses – there are challenges for all and we would like to offer a positive opportunity that will make a true difference.
If you find yourself with more capacity than you normally would have, I warmly invite you to make a positive impact in the YES community, from your home, by gifting a little of your time to support some of Canterbury’s high school students. Both teachers and parents are saying to us that continuing with YES is vitally important to students both from an education perspective, but also from a well-being perspective to maintain a sense of normality and students are saying to us that they need help from our community to do so.
Eg.
One of the ways you can help is by answering a survey or be part of a focus group – Our usual approach to students validating their idea would be to “Get Out of the Building” and this obviously cannot happen. So, we are encouraging students to do more surveys which can be distributed to people online to complete and/or conduct focus groups using technology.
If you find you have some time you can donate to our young people right now, please follow the link to see the options.
Kia kaha. Stay safe and well.
