Do you have 1 hour a week to help a new Kiwi?
Would you like to become a Home Tutor and teach English one-to-one to an adult refugee or migrant in their own home? Are you interested in learning about other cultures? We provide you with a training course and offer ongoing support for your tutoring role. Not only will you help teach English, but you’ll also help your learner settle into their community and participate in kiwi life.
The next course begins 23rd March and runs for 3 Saturdays. Contact us now to volunteer and help make a real difference in your community! You can email christchurch@englishlanguage.org.nz or phone (03) 377 3141.

What's your favourite tomato recipe?
Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
