Papanui High School Home Decorating Painting for Beginners Course

Bryan and Barbara Roper from Papanui High School Adult and Community Education

In this practical hands on class students will learn how to use painting and decorating tools correctly, practice using both a paint brush and roller. Learn about using undercoats and sealers and the differences between oil based and water based paints. Instruction will also be given on the preparation of walls for painting, how to sand between coats and what sandpaper to use as well as how to paint over wallpaper and how to correctly cut in when painting. This class is being taught by a qualified and experienced tutor who has approx 25 years experience as a painter and decorator.
