Papanui High School Te Reo classes Term 1
Papanui High School is once again offering our popular Te Reo Maori nightclasses. We have a beginners class on a Monday night starting on 11 February 7-9 pm for 7 weeks at a cost of $128 which will focus on attention to pronunciation, learning basic phrases and personal introductions. For those who are beyond this stage we have a Post Beginners class on a Wednesday night starting on 13 February 7-9 pm for 7 weeks at a cost of $128 which will follow on from the Beginners Course and is for those students who already have a basic understanding of Te Reo. The course will include introduction to whakatauki/proverbs and kiwaha/everyday phrases. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
