Rotary BOOKARAMA
Last weekend, Rotary Club of Bishopdale Burnside held a very successful four day book sale. There was enthusiastic public participation and we estimate 40-50,000 books, DVD and Jigsaws are now being enjoyed by new owners. The success was directly attributable to the generous donations of books by you, the public, during April and the large numbers of people who turned up to Bookarama to buy a book (or many).
THANK YOU everybody for your generous support - this was our 12th Annual Bookarama and we are confident it will be an annual recycling/fundraising event for long into the future - people still love books!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
