Keep your dogs safe

Gem from Addington

A pakeha women was spotted this evening photographing my dogs then proceeding back to her vehicle, a 4WD, parked some distance from my property. I was home at the time & shudder to think my worst fear could be coming true. Dog fighting rings are prevalent in Christchurch & they target innocent fur babies for bait/training purposes. I've heards reports lately of suspicious behavior regarding dogs & dog thefts in the Hornby area. It seems these mongrels could now be scouting our area too! Please keep an eye out for anyone behaving suspiciously around homes with dogs & ensure your dogs are secured safely at all times. Have also read stories of fighting dogs being thrown over fences to attack a dog in it's own territory then simply let out once the damage is done. Report anything necessary to the Police and be sure to talk to your neighbors too.
