Soft plastic recycling
Until recently it was not possible to recycle soft plastic wrappings and clingfilm etc. Now there are collection bins at Countdown and the Warehouse I have been collecting soft plastic. I was surprised by how much I collect each week it is 1 grocery bag/week. If everyone saves their soft plastic from going to the tip that is a lot of plastic not going to the landfill. It's a pity that Pak'n Save and New World have chosen not to contribute to collecting the wrappings.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
