Fresh fruit and veg at the Farmers Market this morning
The Local Growers stall is brim full this morning at the Carterton Farmers Market! As well as the usual spray-free, compost-grown vegetable goodness, we have nashi pears, grapes, figs, and quinces. And something special - malabar spinach.
Other stallholders include Helen’s honey (prime Mauriceville gold!), organic seeds and seedlings, and the best coffee this side of Colombia.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
