There are approx six boards with various legends from yesteryear before the Bowls Club was dispanded. We would like to find the rightful owner(s). On the next sunny day I will pull them out of dry storage and take more detailed photos. Attached are a few trophy boards to highlight examples. Please contact me so we can find the new owner and make more room in our shed for wood. If we cant find new owners we may have to upcycle or recycle these boards thereby erasing the names of bowling legends from previous decade or two. Please help me find a new home for these boards.

Tom Bateman, Chair of Greytown MeNZ Shed said "We've always helped out on community projects but this time we thought we'd try to stretch a little further and help people doing it tough in the Ukraine. We knew we couldn’t make and mend stuff from afar but came up with the idea that for one month, when we made or mended for anyone in our community, we’d pass on 100% of their “thankyou” donation we normally use to keep the shed running. Then the Red Cross could put it to good use.”
Word got round and the Greytown community came on board and so many make and mend jobs came in that the scheme was extended to almost two and a half months, so the sheddies could try to catch up with the jobs. Some people just came up and made outright donations and the shed helped out too – raising $4,000 to present to The New Zealand Red Cross to help out the amazing work the global organisation is doing in war ravaged Ukraine.
“We’re blown away by the generosity and compassion of everyone who has supported us and lucky to have an organisation like the Red Cross that means we know that the funds raised will be put to the best use.” Said Tom.
Greytown MeNZ Shed is at 85-87 West Street, Greytown and is open any Wednesday or Saturday morning between 9 and 12. We are an inclusive community style shed welcoming everybody.
Press Release ends.

I was surprised by how much I collect each week it is 1 grocery bag/week. If everyone saves their soft plastic from going to the tip that is a lot of plastic not going to the landfill. It's a pity that Pak'n Save and New World have chosen not to contribute to collecting the wrappings.
