Opportunity for Tenor singers
There is an opening for three tenors in our four-part harmony men’s a cappella choir this year. Hamilton’s Mighty River Harmony is looking for choir tenors who have a soaring tenor voice with a musical tone to sing mostly melody in our close harmony style. We are looking for experienced singers who are able to hold their part against other harmony singers and who like to sing a range of music genre including swing standards, show songs, New Zealand music, and arrangements of modern songs. It would be preferable if you are able to read music; however, we provide all scores and training tracks for ear learners. If you fit these criteria, we'd love to arrange an audition with you. Please contact Musical Director, Jill Rodgers on 027 274 2234, or Richard Bentley (President) on 0211844570.
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
