Marlburians are invited to join the Royal New Zealand Air Force Association in marking the 83rd Battle of Britain Anniversary on Sunday. The service, from 11am at the War Memorial Clock Tower at Seymour Square, will commemorate the 3285 New Zealand airmen who died in service during World War II, and particularly the 135 who died in the Battle of Britain, defending the United Kingdom from large-scale attacks by Nazi Germany’s air force, the Luftwaffe.
