ON THE PIG'S BACK.

Linda from Henderson

Can anyone give me a sensible and valid reason for this scenario?

Pensioner, who lives RIGHT next door to partner who is in a Rest Home gets a payment every fortnight on top of the pension, of $78.70 net for travel expenses. (2 mins walk).

Pensioner who has to travel several kilometres to see his or her partner by car or taxi gets exactly the same amount.

If this existed in a private business, it would be bankrupt in a very short time.

It is as easy as Googling the mileage, and setting the rate to suit.
